Lulupu Challenge # 30- Feminine Cards!

Hello, crafty friends!
So, today is the first day of a brand new month and we have a really fabulous challenge for all of you here at the Lulupu blog! :)
But, before I venture into that, I would like to thank all those who played along our last challenge of creating a Travel based layout. Guess it was a tough challenge for many to try but we loved the ones who have linked up!
So, kudos to all those ladies :)

Now, coming on to the challenge. With Mothers Day fast approaching on May 11th we thought this was a perfect way to show all the special women in our life how important and how loved they are. So as you guess the challenge theme is....

Lulupu Challenge # 30 - Feminine Cards

Lulupu Challenge # 30 -Qualifications Guidelines :
{General Guidelines here}

2. Use Border Punches and Flowers - The flowers must be Stamped OR Handmade OR Readymade ones. though we love handmade more!
3. Use only Feminine colours for your card
4. Deadline to submit is 15th May, 2014 until 11:55 PM IST.

That, sums up the challenge requirements and the prizes. And, now to inspire you to play along with this challenge, here is what I have created :

To make my card, I started with a Kraft cardstock base and embossed the front of the card with the Cuttlebug/Provocraft Textile Embossing folder then, I punched some border laces with the Martha Stewart Doily Lace punch and DCWV Pattern papers and stuck it to the bottom half.
On the top half of my card, I distressed it with Colorbox Frost White Pigment ink and Vintage Photo Distress ink then, die cut and colored my flowers using Sizzix/Tim Holtz Tattered Flower Garland die and colored it using Spun Sugar, Tattered Rose and Scattered Straw Distress inks.
The leaves were colored using Mowed Lawn and Peeled Paint Distress inks. I added the MFT Fancy Flourish and MFT Scrolled Flourishes using Martha Stewart Iridescent glitter die-cuts behind my flower arrangement and placed it around the Spellbinder's Fluer de Lis frame which was again colored with Vintage Photo Distress ink.

That's it from me Hope you all will play along with us and dazzle us with your various creative approach to our challenge :)

One question : is it absolutely necessary to use a border punch? Because I would hate to miss out on playing along just because I don't own one!

    1. Hi Somadeepa ,
Yes you have to include a border punch cutout in your creation as our current challenge asks for Border punches along with flowers ..And, moreover we were hoping to see participants use border punches in innovative way in their projects.
      Hope this answer's your query.
