Hearts & Arrows | Cards

Hello Everyone! I am Suchi here with you all and today I am going to share with you all THREE cards i created for our current Feb challenge!

As you know the theme this month is to use Hearts & arrows both in your project- I started off by choosing to make cards!

I received Your Next Stamps- Perfect Chemistry in my DT kit. Oh! These stamps are adorable, I tell you! I am showcasing Notes & Things paper pads which you can find HERE on the Lulupu store.

My first card is a fancy fold card. I love to make slider cards! I colored this adorable crazy professor stamp using distress ink and Koi water color brush. You can find a great range of ink pads HERE on the store as well.

'Hello@Lulupu' with Lulupu Logo colour challenge!

Hello girls!
It's me Jaya with you today.

Yes.. you heard it right! Lulupu has a revamped look, from the site to the blog, everything!
Lulupu has great offers and hoards of awesome crafting stuff for you.So don't forget to register yourself.

Keeping with the spirit we have put up a challenge for you all.

 Inspired by New Lulupu Logo

(General Guidelines are here)

Guidelines for this challenge:

1.Use minimum 4 colours from the new logo .

2. Must include a banner or pennant on your creation.

3. Cards, layouts, mini albums, canvas, altered art all are allowed in this challenge.

4.Challenge will remain open till June 30th, 11.55p.m.

Well here is my take on the challenge. I went crazy enough to incorporate ...I don't know how many, but definitely four ( which is a must) colours here in my card. Such cards are not my forte and I haven't ever tried my hands on them so this was challenging for me too.
Hope you will like it :)

I did water-colouring to create my card. The sky, the grass  and the stamped images are all water coloured. I used the Essentials- Mr Huey's water colour set.
Water colouring is the new IN thing in card making these days. So Lulupu has stocked up some awesome brands for you to lay your hands on!

The stamp set I used here is also from Lulupu which I won as a contestant in my first ever win at any challenge! So its kind of special and I decided to use it for this card.
Making this card was relatively simple. Just some water-colouring, faux stitching, rub-ons ,glossy accents and finally cut- paste job with the stamped images. And yes not to forget the lots of drying up the water-coloured papers in between with the Rangers heat tool.I adhered everything with foam tabs

How did you like my work? Do let me know through your comments. You still have some time left to enter the  Current challenge here.  Lulupu has some mouth watering prizes for the winner. So go ahead and Good luck!

Lulupu Challenge #15 - Weather or not..

Hola crafters..

Nikita here and I am going to reveal a brand new challenge. On second thoughts, the post title does much of the revealing even before I begin typing (rather, you begin reading.) We have got to do something about that :P

Anyhoo, this month we want you to create magic on your projects. Notice how we said projects and not cards?? That means you can create anything you want!!!! As long as....

Challenge #15 - Qualification Guidelines
{General Guidelines here}

1. Create a card, layout, altered project, tag, 3D project... absolutely anything, that depicts the weather
It may be the weather you are currently experiencing or you could choose to show Summer, Spring, Winter, Autumn, or the Rains, on your project. You could also create a view of some place like the beach or the mountainside with a sparkling river and boats on them or a clear starry summer sky. {Enough ideas from me. I need to shut up!)

2. However, the project must show a scene and not just one element of the weather
For example, one snowflake on your project, will not equal a winter scene. Similarly, one umbrella, will not equal a rainy scene. Paint a picture for us (so to speak).. think of your project as a canvas and go crazy.

3. (This one is the most important one) If in doubt, check with us!! :P
It breaks our heart to see beautiful projects that don't fit the challenge theme. So if you are confused about this, leave us a comment here or write to us at hello@lulupu.com with your questions before you start work and one of us will get in touch with you to help you out. Simple! :)

And guess what the winner is going to be able to lay their hands on???
THIS!!!
Rather, THESE!!! {Silently drools... :P}
If I could have played along, for this, I really would.

Simple Stamping

Hey Crafters

Hows it going? After a long gap am happy to post some inspiration again for Lulupu! It didnt start with the challenge initially. I made one card using my favourite Micia Stamp  and  then i wondered what more can one do with such big flower? And yes that was a challenge for me. I have not been stamping much offlate so this one was sure was a bummer. After few attempts and wrecking my brains for a day i came up with my second card too and just in time to share with you all :)

Fun with Stamping !!

Good Morning Beautiful Crafters!

How are you all doing?  It's a new month with a new Challenge here at Lulupu which is all about stamping. I personally love stamping. It is so much fun and one of my favorite things when it comes to crafting as it gives altogether a new definition to your piece of work. You can use stamps everywhere - whether it is cards, scrapbooks, tags, bookmarks, mix media; the list goes on.

Lulupu Challenge #9 - Splash of colors

Hello Everyone

Its Ujjwal here. We saw a lot of "Love in the Air" last month with the beautiful red and pink colors used in all your projects and voila we had over 50 entries!

And I Hope this month would be a lot more fun too! With Holi fast approaching next month we thought why not celebrate colors this month?
So the challenge for this month is -

Challenge #9

 "SPLASH OF COLORS "

Use at least 5 different colors in your projects and use your punches creatively!

Points to remember:
- You can use more than 5 colors
- Colors should NOT be from the same family. Light blue and dark blue are from the from the family of color Blue
- All types of projects are welcome as long as we see 5 colors and innovative use of punches.

For my inspiration post today, I went a little overboard with colors (which I was a little skeptical about to start with) but I love how it turned out at the end, don't you?

I am using the gorgeous papers from My Mind's Eye - On the bright side 6X6 paper pad and American Crafts - XOXO 6X6 paper pad.

The flowers area paper pieced and have been made using Micia Stamp - You are Special. The sentiment is from the same set too. I also did a tutorial on how to make different flowers from the same stamp set sometime back. You can check that out HERE.

I love these Doodlebug crushed velvet brads as centers of my flowers :)

I had a very limited collection of punches to use, but you can find a big selection of great punches at lulupu.com. Punches can add lots of interesting patterns and designs by being used innovatively.  Don't use them just as border punches, think out of the box!

I also have a video tutorial on how to create this fun background using your punches and pattern papers. Watch and have fun and if you are inspired in anyway, don't forget to let me know :)

Here is the list of punches that I used:
EK Success Flower Burst Large Edger Punch
EK Success 5/8" circle
EK Success Open Scallop Edger Punch
Fiskers Scallop Sentiment Punch

Supplies from Lulupu

Before I go on with the rules, here is what our Winner will receive- a super awesome and versatile October Afternoon Cling Stamp - Pinwheel.

Hello,

I hope you have enjoyed all the fun things going on the blog this month with some wonderful creations and tutorials from the design team. And there's still time to participate in this month's challenge, don't forget to play along.

Today I am sharing some interesting things to do with your regular stamps, particularly flower stamps. I have to admit that from all the stamps that I own, floral ones have to be my favorite. I love how versatile they are and how they can be used to create some super fun and unique flower embellishments in no time.

For today's post, I am using the Micia "You are Special" Stamp Set (product link at the end of the post). I had never used Micia Stamps before but when this stamp set came as a part of my DT kit for Lulupu, I fell in love. I am so impressed with the quality and the price of these stamps(they are unbelievably low!!). I think I will be adding a few more to my stash in the coming days :)

So let's get started and make some flowers.

Using card stock

Experiment with colored embossing powder on different card stock to get some gorgeous looking flowers.

Using pattern papers

My Favourite Four - R2

Hello people!!!

I am so excited with this month's challenge for lots of reasons!!
  • You are not restricted to one particular theme and you can do whatever you want!
  • There are sooooo many options to choose from!
  • Each option has variety of elements that can spark your creativity (I just wish I had the time to try out all of the rows, columns and diagonals!!)

I'm here today with my take on one of the options - R2 and it has..
  1. Washi Tape
  2. Buttons/ Bling/ Stones/ Glitter
  3. Paper Piecing
  4. Stickers/ Thickers
I decided to go with a card for this one and here are the 4 elements in all their glory!!!! :D

WASHI TAPE

BUTTON
I wasn't sure if this qualified as a button, so I added Glitter too (which was a part of the same  option)
GLITTER
I used the wood-veneer bird embellishments and added some  Star Dust Stickles to give the glittery effect!
PAPER PIECING
I stamped the banners on PP scraps and cut them out!!!

STICKER

And here's a picture of the complete card in all its glory using my Favourite Four - R2. :D

There is just so much you can do with a couple of stamps.. They are one of my most versatile tools to have in your stash...

For today's card, I have made a pocket note card and used stamps to make a BG and the central focal point of my insert... Take a look at the pics and you would know what I mean...

Spring Tag!!!

Helloooo!!!

and a very Good Afternoon to all of you... Hope you are enjoying a relaxed Sunny Sunday!!!

It's gotten quite warm out here and feels like almost spring!!!

So, without further ado (since i am already delayed a bit ;))...

Meet today's Card... Well, actually a Tag!!!

Manilla Tag, HA 3 Dotted Flower, Laces, Punchinella, Ribbon, Hat pins(a rak fm Tejal), Stampendous yellow embossing powder, Versamark, Heat Gun, Twine and Rhinestone.

The Punchinella background is totally inspired by Yvonne and her innovative use of off beat materials.

Isn't this Flamingo adorable!!! Love the colors of this gorgeous 12x12 sheet from Kaisercraft's Pina Colada Collection!!! It's fresh and vibrant with vivacious spring colors...

It's a double sided sheet and i wanted to use both sides... So, i stamped my HA  3 Dotted Flower stamp on the reverse of the sheet to form my flower... That way, you don't have to worry about finding the right color for the flower...

The best part about double sided sheets in a pack is that the colors coordinate with each other really well and that really cuts down the botheration of finding the right shades that go together.

For this yummy paper collection and many such more stuff head over straight to the Lulupu Store now.

Products Used:
Kaisercraft Pina Colada 12x12 Coconut Cream
Versamark Watermark Stamp Pad
EZ Runner Adhesive

Thanks for visiting.
Would love to hear from you.
