Guest Designer : Pooja plus a tutorial

Hello Everyone!!

Manu here, with our Guest Designer for this fortnight!!! We are happy to have Pooja from Reusing cards and quilling guest designing for us !!Pooja makes amazing cards and Lulupu gladly welcomes her !!! Lets see what have she made for us!

Hello friends! Pooja here Wishing you all a “ Very Happy New Year “. Hope you had a fabulous start to the Year and are getting enough crafty time J .I would like to Thank Lulupu and Karuna for this chance. It is always wonderful experience playing along the challenges set by Team Lulupu and an honour to be a Guest Designer J. As you all know the current challenge is about Fancy folds , perfect time to execute the fold you always wanted to try but haven’t or a template you have saved but never used it .Try it and I bet you will enjoy it ! My card has a very easy fold similar to a gate fold with a twist .
And this is how it opens, It has pocket at back to hold the tag.

Let me show you the template for this card.

After you score all the lines and fold it. You can either keep the extra cardstock over the edge as it is, fold it again inside /outside or trim it as I have done .

With the basic fold done ,it is time to dress up  the card I have used 4 different pps in shades of blue and distressed their edges with faded jeans DI .Adhered a doily ,then a piece of tulle and loaded it with handmade flowers n leaves. Flowers n leaves are colored with distress inks. Finally ,tied a satin ribbon to hold the fold together.

Here is the pocket for tag ,I used the trimmed cardstock pieces to decorate the back .

Hope you liked it and are inspired to try out some Fancy folds.

That was one amazing fold Pooja!! Thank you for sharing the tutorial on how this was made. I loved the pattern papers used and the that bright cluster of flowers!
I hope that her card has inspired you! Do join in our current challenge here!
