Challenge #63 - Sketch

Hi everyone!!
It's Sindhura here and it is time for a new challenge. We thought it would be fun to challenge you all with a sketch this time. :)

Challenge #63-  Sketch

The rules for the challenge #63 are:

1. Must follow the sketch.

2. Only cards and scrapbook layouts are allowed.

3. Feel free to rotate or flip the sketch. :)

4. Any theme can be followed

Here are the cards I made based on the sketch-

My first card follows the sketch as is. 

To make this card, I stamped the images from Mudra's Lotus Blooms stamp set with Versafine Onyx black ink. I cut another panel from a patterned paper from Ephemera paper pad and layered it with vellum and layered it on the panel with stamped images.. For my focal image, I stamped the lotus flower on a piece of cardstock, masked it and stamped the leaves. Colored the image, fussy cut it and adhered it on the panel. Then, mounted the adhered panels on a the base.

For my next card, I rotated the sketch clockwise by 90°. I used die cuts and papers from my DT pack.

"Hey everyone! I am Erum aka E.T. from VIBGYOR Krafts. This is my Hat trick post as GDT at Lulupu! I was so excited when I saw my card as one of the favs. This time I played along with Lulupu's sketch challenge in a different card style, no it's not shabby chic - a bit grungy this time around. I hope you will like it and I hope you will stop by my BLOG to leave a bit of love."

Here is my card...

This color combination was given to me by a customer of mine and I was very unsure of it :) My card consists of two panels for the background. I heat embossed chevron background for the top panel and did second generation stamping on the blue panel. I added a deep red panel to add an oomph to the dull design and it made all the difference, the doily lace in soft pink adds interest and gels the blue with the background. After the background was all set, I diecut the flower, stamped a texty stamp on it and ink distressed it a bit so it wouldnt look stark white against the background. Added my favourite frame and some gears to bring everything together. In the end I decided to add a bit of sparkle with some glitter enamel dots! Thats it! I hope you like it."

Shilpa here today with Mixed Media Canvas,

which is inspired by A Sketch given by Jaya for 

Lulupu Challenge # 32 

I liked the sketch so much, that I used it as it is and tried to bring small details on my canvas.

To divide the canvas in two parts, which you can see in a sketch, I used two different stencils to create the texture.  Upper part has done with Crafters workshop Mini Spinning Tops stencil and lower part with Memory box Rhapsody stencil, I love this design. I've used Shabby shutters and Squeezed Lemonade distress paints to bring the color on canvas.

I've also done texture stamping in the background with Peeled paint distress ink, Cofee Archival ink, Prima Square stiches stamp, text stamp and tiny circle stamp.

Lulupu store has these wonderful Wood Veneer Journal Cards from Studio Calico, its use is versatile. I used it as a center piece. I brought texture and color on it to match with background. Ohh, yes and the Prima junkyard light bulb, isn't it gorgeous? I made it my flower vase. And the main attraction is the dimensional Pink Flower stickers from Ek Success.

Challenge#32- Sketch Challenge

Hello Friends!

Happy Sunday! This is Jaya here. Hope you all are chilling out today.

The last challenge was a little tricky I guess. But our motive is to make you to try things you haven't. We all do what we like or what we are good at. Don't we? But real test of our abilities lies in coming out of our niche and doing something we haven't ! 

 Kudos to all the awesome participant who tried their hands on our challenge!

So,  its Sunday and to add to your awesome day we have a New Challenge on our blog and this time. We have made your work a little easier! YES.. We have a sketch challenge for you this fortnight .

 Challenge#32-

Sketch Challenge

  CHALLENGE GUIDELINES-

(General Guidelines here) 

1.We are providing you a basic sketch to act as an inspiration to start your project.
2.You can modify the sketch (rotate, mirror image) to create your cards , scrap book layouts, or altered canvas.
3.The elements of the sketch , the colours are completely your choice.  The sketch is just a guide to your creativity.
4. Cards, Scrapbook Layouts and Altered canvases are allowed in this challenge.

Note- You may change the elements of the design .The buttons can become banners or torn/folded edge. You may also play with the shapes of the layers.

We understand that the sketch cannot be followed in its entirety so we allow for variations as long as it looks that the sketch was considered.

Now here is my inspiration for you.

I decided to make Altered canvas. Here I have two variations of the same canvas.

For the first canvas I went with the colour gradient concept.

I modified my canvas in the second version as later I decided to give it a pop of colour. Since I tried  these two different colour schemes , so I decided to show you how each looked.

I made these canvases using some flowers and other embellishments like beads, chains etc. Most of it is throwaway stuff! I love recycling more than any thing else and always encourage you to try it in your projects too . All of this (flowers and other embellishments) was stuck on a prepared canvas with hot glue.

Ones I was satisfied with the placement of my flowers etc. , I gave everything a generous coat of Sakura gesso.

 Heat dried it using my Rangers heat tool. 

Now I used my Prima stencil and Sakura texture paste to add some more texture.

Finally,coloured using paints and Lindy's Sprays. Just love using them on all my projects! If you haven't yet tried I will advice you to grab a bottle soon and do that. I can assure, you will land up using them on almost all your projects! These magic bottles are addictive! .
