Stamp N Stencil Magic Tutorial

Hi ya!!!!

Its Varshitha here and today i will be sharing something exciting that i discovered sometime ago. Yes Its something to do with your Back Ground stamps and stencils!

Did you know that Background(BG) stamping (like burlap, polka dots, scripts, grunge, etc) and distress inking the bold distressed shaped stencils together creates awesome BGs to your cards, LO's and tags.

Before i forget do check out the Lulupu July Share and Win contest. Just upload any creation made with products purchased from Lulupu and get lucky! How simple!

Here us what i am sharing today! And yes it fits so well for Lulupu Challenge #14.

And here is the step by step Tutorial to get you started if you have not yet tried your hands at this!!!

Craft Supplies you will need

1.Stencils (Crafters Workshop Template here)
2. BG stamp
3. Distress Inkpads
4. Coordinating color inkpad
5. Blender tools
6. Craft Sheet
7. Cardstock
8. Masking tape/washi tape

I opted for a tricolor ink choice, you can also try this  with a single color or add another shade maybe.

First stamp the entire card base with same stamp with three shades of ink colors to cover the card base.I chose momento yellow inks.

Tip: Protect the card back by adhering scrap paper with Washi Tapes during your inking process.

Next place the desired stencil over it. You can check out the complete range of Crafters workshop Stencils at Lulupu Store. Adhere with washi tape to ensure it stays in one place.

Now the fun part! Ink it with  coordinating Distress Inks to get the fabulous effect. always choose a coordinating colour which really makes it pop!

TIP: Ensure you use a Blending Tool and Rangers Craft sheet to get this perfect effect!

Last step - Just remove the stencils and washi tapes and voila you have a fabulous BG!

These are two more colors i made with similar combination. Ain't it fun?

The possibility with stencils and stamp combinations are many!.

Here is how it was after taking out of the machine...
I couldnt stop myself from making another card! I was still playing along my flowers are from my digital die cut machine, distress inked, sprayed with Mini Misters, molded...

Hope you liked it and also would love to see your creations using stencils n stamps! And there is still time for Lulupu's Challenge #14. Its a fun challenge and the Logo colors are awesome to work with. Dont forget to use a die cut in your card!
