Creating with a moodboard - Mixed Media Scrapbook Layout

Hello creative pals,
Kripa here with my take on this beautiful moodboard
Challenge#43-
Inspired by moodboard
Twist- Use two or more pattern papers

I love creating with moodboards because they make me use colours, photographs and embellishments that I wont normally choose. I'm sharing my steps on seeing this moodboard in the hope that you will also find some starting points to create and share it with us here at Lulupu.
1. Photograph - always the first step for me, the layout will be created to highlight the photo. Vintage, retro, sitting on a vespa, no luck. Finally found an old baby picture in a lace dress.
2. Embellishments & textures - Next I visualise the background textures and main embellishments
From the dresses: lace, fabric, silk thread embroidery, pearl, roses, sequins
From the tent top: frame, gold accent, circles
3. Pattern paper - Far, far away from my studio, couldn't find even one pattern paper in the exact colours. Solution: use the closest shades, gesso and alter with paint to the moodboard colours

Here is what I created - an A4 size mixed media layout

What went through your creative mind when you saw this moodboard.
We would love to hear about it and see your project here.

A shabby chic corset card Inspired by the Moodboard

Hello friends!
Jaya here today.

Hope you all are enjoying the Moodboard challenge this time.
We have a gorgeous mood board for you as our inspiration. All that you have to do is get inspired by the mood board and make any paper based project.

Challenge#43-

Inspired by moodboard
Twist- Use two or more pattern papers

Here is the moodboard-

You can be inspired by any element of the moodboard, either a single picture or all at the same time or you could just play with the color palette we provided you with the mood board.

Here is my card as the inspiration-

My inspirations from the mood board-

The dress picture I incorporated a form of dress i.e corset in my card.
I was also inspired by the gorgeous rhinestones on the dress and incorporated it as leaves for my flower clusters.
The gorgeous flower cluster in the moodboard also inspired me to create one such  huge cluster on my card.
not only these ...I also picked up some inspiration from the striped umbrella and that shows in the bakers twine I used to tie the corset.
Apart from the mood board I was inspired by the color palette and used the following colors-
Petal
Rose
Seafoam
Silver sage
Basically,I stuck to the colors I could see in the pictures.

Some more pictures-

Hope you liked my card.
Do not forget to submit your entries here and be on a lookout for some more awesome inspiration by our designers.
Have a great day!

This is what the Winner of this challenge will take home. :D

And, here's a look at my project for this challenge. I have made a card inspired by the above Mood Board :

The base of my card has been made using three different patterned papers. The light pink striped pattern paper is from Graphic 45, followed by the blue one from Prima Marketing Cigar Box paper pad and finally the alpha one from Prima Marketing Coffee Break Paper pad.

The small butterflies were paper pieced from Prima Marketing Forever Green paper pad. For the base of my floral arrangement, I have used a Prima Marketing Doily Die #1 and popped it up on foam dots and colored with Distress ink- Tattered Rose.

I have created a shabby-chic card so to create the look, I have distressed all the papers using a paper distressing tool and have inked all the edges of the papers with Distress ink- Tattered Rose. The flowers are all from my stash and I have Gesso-ed the edges of the flowers using Heidi Swapp Color Shine- Tropicana Teal Mist mixed with Gesso and painted using a paint brush to give that light blue colour to the flowers. The Gesso gives the flower a very nice texture and colour!

The sentiment has been stamped and paper-pieced and popped up on foam dots to give that raised look. I have used a lot of rhinestones to mimic the inspiration from the mood board.
I was inspired by the striped umbrella and the pink flowers on the mood board and all the colours too and tried to incorporate in my card through the floral arrangement and my card base!

I hope you like my inspirational card. Please do join us in this challenge by linking up your creations below in the link tool. Really looking forward to seeing all your beautiful work!
