Welcoming our Design Team 2016 - Jasleen Kaur

Hello people,

Now it's time to introduce you to our next DT Member. Please welcome Jasleen Kaur from Happily Ever Crafter

We loved her clean and colourful style and of course, the gorgeous Quilling she does. Let's get to know her a bit more. Over to Jasleen...

Hello, I’m Jasleen and I’m delighted to be a part of the Lulupu Design Team for 2016! I currently reside in the city of Pune, India with my husband and a 4-year old daughter. I’m a qualified Dental Practitioner, at present a stay-at-home mom (SAHM), and it’s in this beautiful phase of being a SAHM , I accidently stumbled upon some Quilled cards on the internet, which led to a self-discovery of my hidden creative talent and interests ;)

That’s when I got hooked to Quilling, Card-making and Blogging. And since then, there has been no looking back! Crafting helps me unwind and relax like nothing else. I love clean and simple, minimalist style of card-making , however, I always try to stretch myself by trying out new techniques and add a little out-of-the-box touch to my creations.

Thank you, Karuna, for this opportunity to be a part of Lulupu. The crafting/blogging community has been a huge influence on my card-making and there is so much inspiration out there already- I hope I too can be equally inspiring and encourage you all to play along!

Here are my favourite three projects:

This CAS Card. It reflects my favorite style of card-making - one focal stamped image with dimension, simple and effective sentiment and lots of white space :)

I made this card for Indian Quilling Challenges. It's a perfect blend of my two favorite crafting techniques; it combined the traditional art of Quilling with the modern Clean and Simple backdrop. I personally find such designs quite effective and appealing. :)

Although it was my first novice attempt at a mixed media project, I would still count it as one of my all-time favorites or the sheer reason of getting out of my comfort zone to try making this and thoroughly enjoying the process. I love the way it turned out and it's very dear to me. :)
