Special Birthday & Shaped Card!

Hello Beautiful Crafters,

Valou here,

Hope you had a peaceful week! We have a fabulous special Challenge this month

 Challenge#27 Lulupu 2nd Birthday Special

Before I begin here is my thought process for this project.

Starting with alphabets..we have to use L, U, P, T, C

Let's see What I have used here?

L: leaves, lavendar
C: cardstock
: papers, pastel shade

Here is my card for this challenge and I hope that it will inspire you!

For this card, I used a decorated flowers paper ( small block)and the edges are distressed with "Old Paper" DistressInk.

The shape of the card is a template found on the Internet which I printed in two different sizes. I then cut with simple scissors.

I used a rubberstamp "Magnolia".

I then colored in the following way:

- Ink "Distress Tattered Rose" and "Distress Vintage Photo" for the skin.
- Ink "Distress Antique Linen" and "Distress Walnut Stain" for hair.
- Ink "Distress Worm Lipstick".
- Ink "Distress Shaded Lavender".
- Ink "Distress Forest Moss".
- "Glitter Stickels Frosted Lace".

I cut the image and I stuck it with "Foam Tape" on a die-cut created with "Cuttlebug" and a dies " Spellbinders-Nestabilities - Circles ". The edges of circle white circle under the image is inked with the ink "Shaded Lavender" then covered with "Glitter Stickels Icicle".

I have used various flowers to decorate my card. Flowers are covered with some touches of "Glitter Stickels Icicle".I also added "Foliages" created with a die by" Cherry Lynn Designs ".

The title is printed and i used a font called " Chopin Script ". I then cut it in banner shape to sue on my card.

Finally, I added a butterfly created with a die by " Joy! Crafts ". Above, I stuck another butterfly made with a small punch and I decorated it with two white pearly demies-pearls.

We are looking forward to your amazing entries to drool over!

I wish you an excellent day and bye for now!

Challenge #27 - Lulupu 2nd Birthday Special

Hi Friends,
Welcome to a brand new challenge for this month .This is quite an exciting month at Lulupu, as this month  the Lulupu store completes 2 fabulous years :) Yep, you heard it right, its Lulupu's 2nd birthday month and we have a special challenge!

Lulupu Challenge#27

Lulupu 2nd Birthday Special

This month we want you to use the alphabets of your favourite store's name - L U L U P U and come up with projects using anything that begins with at least 3 of these letters
And to add some more option to the that you may also use the initials of The Craft Lounge

Ok to make it simple L is for Layers, Leaves, Love and P is for Papers, Pencil colours,Punches etc and T is for Texture, Teal Colour etc. U is for Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel (UTEE), Umbrella etc. Now does that make it a bit simpler? And of course we want you to be super clever and innovative now.
So basically it could be anything as long as you can justify the word and how its implemented in your project.

So the alphabets you have are - L, U, P, T and C

Please use a minimum of any 3 unique Alphabets and do mention them clearly in your post to qualify

To start with we have a Raffle going on HERE so do check it out and link your name.

Here's a look at what I have created for this challenge. It's a hand-made photo frame and so suitable for our Category 2.

I have made an altered photo-frame and I have worked on it from the scratch. This was a very plain white and red photo-frame. I first added two layers of  Gesso on the base and then, applied two coats of Camlin teal color on it. This helped cover the base design completely and once it was dry, I took the Prima Designer stencil and the Sakura Modelling Texture paste and mixed some drops of  the Distress Stain -Spiced Marmalade to it and applied it all over the sides of my frame to create the damask design on my frame.

I think it gives a beautiful, rich look to the frame and by adding the color to the texture paste there is a small hint of orange showing in the stenciled design! The flowers on my frame are all handmade and they are made by using the Distress Re-inker Spiced Marmalade and water added to a Mini Mister and sprayed directly on paper! Does'nt it give a vibrant look :)
The corners and the golden leaves on the frame are all made with die-cuts covered with UTEE and heat-embossing it.
My project consists of all the letters :
L- Layers, Leaves
P- Pearls, Pollens, Paints, Punches, Prima stencil.
T -Texture Paste, Teal color.
U- Gold Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel (UTEE)
C - Cardstock to make the flowers, Corners, Cheery Lynn dies.

I hope you all like my project! Do leave me your comments or any queries regarding any of the products used here and I will get back to you as soon as possible :)
I hope you all can join us in this month-long celebration in the fun challenges here. As, we have already told, there are loads of prizes to be won and of course loads of inspiration coming up from my other talented team member's as well so do play along our month-long challenge!
