Welcome back to the Lulupu blog for a brand new challenge!

This time we decided to have a popular theme back ! 

Scrap your scraps ! 

Yes! it means you need to use your scraps for a Card or a LO.

Challenge #24 - Qualification Guidelines 

{General Guidelines - here}

1. Create a Card (any size or shape) or a LO. 
2. You must use "Scraps" from old projects.
3. We mainly want to see use of left over or scrap pieces of Pattern paper or card stock etc.  
4.  In your blog post please explain how you used scraps 
5. The Inlinkz for this challenge will close on January 31st, 2014 at 11:55 PM IST.

Now time for my inspiration 

Like any other crafter i have bags(and boxes, he he) full of scraps ! Which i hardly use :P but it gives me great satisfaction to know that a lil bit of my fav Paper or CS is still in there somewhere !  

so when we decided to go with this challenge i was very happy to dive into my scraps like uncle scrooge did into his gold stockpile !

I had a few ideas for this challenge but suddenly while going though my scraps i found this beautiful big piece of scrap PP which basically is like a negative and BAM it hit me ! so i built the whole card around it !

 If you are wondering why i have a neatly spaced negative of scrap :)  well i always plan on how to cut out diecuts from the PP , in this case i wanted to use the page in such a way that if tomorrow i wanted to cut out even a smaller design then it would fit into the space in between. (Yes thats way too much planing i know)

So once i found the piece I inked the edges blue ,

Before placing the scrap in place i decided to go with some stamping underneath.

 

 I also had a scrap piece of foil heart cut with the same die , so i fit it together. 

TIP : If you dont have too many stencils , try making your by using dies repetitively on a transparency or a thick foil piece , that way you can use it for masking and it is even good with gesso or texture paste.

 The flowers are handmade and the oval die cut with the sentiment is actually a scrap too 

it was not properly cut oval , (its basically weird shaped underneath the flower placement , so its not seen !) 

The banners on the side are also left overs from the PP i previously used !
