Hello everyone,
Riswana here. Today I have a home decor project based on November Challenge theme - GEOMETRIC. It's a cards only challenge but I hope you will find the technique interesting. Here's the Paper tile mosaic art!
1. Take a chipboard panel of the desired size. Apply heavy gesso with a palette knife in multiple coats.
2. After it has dried completely, draw a faint outline of the focal point with a pencil, This is a very rough guide to know the placement of colors.
Do join us in our current challenge and link your cards Here.
C ya all very soon.

3. Cut scrap pattern papers into random geometric shapes. I've used the Incredible India paper pack scraps which I used for my previous projects.
4. Paste the different pieces at random angles and leaving spaces in between using matte gel medium. This is very helpful as the glue doesn't show after it dries.
5. Apply glossy accents over individual tiles. A precision tip applicator can make the work super easy.!
Here are some close-up shots after it has dried. The gloss is simply gorgeous and the paper pieces look like real tiles .!
I wanted the flower to pop up more. So added some black color inside the flower area.
Finally mounted on a cardboard frame and we are done :)
This technique is versatile and can be used in a variety of projects and also a great way to use up the pattern paper scraps. Hope you liked it.
