Card for Father

Hello Everyone,
Shilpa here,
Deepti has set a challenge for this fortnight to make cards/ tags for the men in our life....
And when she asks us to use distress inks, it is a perfect combo.

I made a card for my father, whose birthday falls in this month. He is all into machines and mechanisms. With this in my thoughts....I came out with a very grungy, distressed Card

I started off with  white card stock.

I applied three of my favourite distress ink colors - broken china, vintage photo and black soot. I stamped the edges with Kaisercraft texture stamps and Ranger black Archival inks.  Second layer is, piece of green jute paper also distressed to match the background. I attached stamped clock, one you can see that behind..

For this panel, I took ruled paper from Crate paper pad, stamped text and texture, added distressed washi tape. Gears are die cuts, and Key is a metal charm, colored with distress stains and inks.

I love to use distress inks in my projects. You can find lot of techniques by Tim Holtz with distress inks on you tube and on his blog, he is genius.

Lulupu has got all the colors in distress inks...the new crafters can try Distress Minis.. which has other benefits with basic distress techniques.

Looking forward which of the Tim's Distress Ink technique you use. For Lulupu
it will remain open till 15th August, 11.59 pm
