My Silly Valentine

Good morning, Crafters!

This is Nikita here and today, it's my turn to show you the two cards I made using the same stamp set. I have already used the Micia Stamp Set  from my DT kit (Joyful Flutters) last year. So I thought I'd go with one of the other stamps I bought from the Lulupu store. When I was going through the stamps, this cute stamp Set called 'My Silly Valentine' from Lawn Fawn, caught my eye. I stared at the stamp set for twenty whole minutes before I could come up with two ideas using stamps from just that set. Sometimes, it can be hard, you know :P But when I had made up my mind, I got to work.

{By the way, have you seen the collection of stamps at the Lulupu Store?}

Before I show you the cards, here's a picture of the set I used..

Here's the picture of the first card I made

For this card I stamped the pears all over the Card Stock in London Fog ink and only one in Tuxedo Black. I coloured the one in Tuxedo Black perfectly and added stickles glitter over it. The other pairs of pears were partially coloured to highlight the sentiment and show the 'perfect' pear pair ;)

I stamped the sentiment directly on the CS and distressed the edges with Crushed Olive Distress Ink and added a few pearls on the side before mounting it on foam squares. To finish it up, I added twine :)

Here is the second card I made
 Again, I have kept the design really really simple. I stamped the socks on pieces of scrap Patterned Paper and fussy cut them out. I then applied a line of Tombo glue and adhered the twine on the CS. I mounted the socks on foam squares and adhered them on to the CS aligning them with the twine. I adhered two socks next to the sentiment to highlight the "knocking them off" part of the sentiment. :)

After I stamped the sentiment, I stamped the medium sized heart from the set and coloured those and the little hearts on the socks. I then added stickles glitter on each of the tiny little hearts! Done! :D

This stamp set is soo cute, I couldn't resist making another card.
So here is a bonus card for you!!
Ta-daaaa!!!

 I thought the other two cards were very CAS. So I decided to do something extra on this one. I used Patterned Paper here and using my Sew Easy tool and Sew Easy floss, did some stitching on the edges.

I cut and embossed the CS using the Spellbinders Large Circles Die and distressed the inside of the circle using Antique Lenin. I then stamped the little Apple and the sentiment in Tuxedo Black and coloured the Apple in. Of course, how could I not add stickles and some more twine, right? ;)

All of these cards measure 4"x4" and I have coloured them using Faber Castell Water Colour pencils. I then used my Water Brushes to paint over the coloured parts. The first two cards were done in less then twenty minutes. The third card took a little longer because of the stitching, but still not that long.

Most of all, it was super fun making all of these cards and I hope I was able to inspire those wishing to participate in our Current Challenge. This is all I have for now. I will see you guys soon with another post!!

Till then,
Happy Crafting!! :)
