Product Review: The Envelope Maker!

Hey everyone..

Pratiksha here today. Its a Product review time. So i thought how about a little tute on latest product at Lulupu.com

Its the best buy that I've ever made after I purchased my big shot!!

Oh yes, dont forget to take part in Lulupu's share and win contest. Just post a project with 2 or more lulupu goodies :)

Ofcourse one can make envelopes with scoreboards as well, but this one makes life sooooo easy! Trust me! Because it also does the punching saving you time on cutting the corners! :) All you have to do is simply choose the size of the envelope you want from the sizes listed on the board itself and simply trim your paper down to the measurements mentioned. Then rotate and punch at the measurement and score and thats it!
ITS EASY PEASY!

STEP1: Gather your supplies- paper, some adhesive, and the board :)

STEP 2: Using the grid mentioned, place your sheet at the specific measurement and punch, then score.

STEP 3: Rotate your sheet and then align your score line with the little blue line at the centre.

STEP 4: Repeat for all four sides

STEP 5: Place your corners at the back of the punch (its a corner rounder as well!)

STEP 6: Fold your scored lines and glue!

Like i said.. Easy! :)

TIPS:

1. Make sure that you align your first measurement accurately or you will have a wonky envelope.
2. Same goes for aligning the score lines with the blue tip.
3. The bone folder is best used at 45' angle else it might pierce your paper.
4. Although it works with most papers, very thick papers may not punch cleanly.

I also love the fact that the bone folder is within the board itself hence no fear of losing it! And also that the inbuilt corner rounder is so convenient!! It rounds almost all my papers.. :)

Here is how I used my envelopes. I've used memory box dies on all of them. Aren't they beautiful? Clean cut lines with beautiful shapes! Check them out at the Lulupu store here!

Don't forget to take part in this month's challenge Colour crush-twist use dies. Its great fun and what lovely colours to work with! :)

Love

Tutorial: Flying Butterfly with the Silhouete Cameo Digital Die Cutting Machine

Hello everyone:

I'm exited about today's post!! You will be wondering why.......well, today's post is about the beautiful machine called Silhouette Cameo, and why I'm so exited? because this beauty can do pretty much everything, and I suggest that if you don't have it, do everything to own it!!!

The Silhouette CAMEO® is an electronic cutting tool. Like a home printer, it plugs
into your PC or MAC® with a simple USB cable. However, instead of printing, the CAMEO uses a
small blade to cut your designs into a wide array of materials. Silhouette.com

What can you make? Scrapbook pages, cards, custom apparel, vinyl decor, etched glass, sketch designs, temporary tattoos, paper crafts. Silhouette.com

What can you cut? Paper and cardstock, adhesive vinyl, fabric, heat transfer material, rhinestone templates, speciality media. Silhouette.com

Now entering into the project that I made for your inspiration, I did a quick video tutorial to show you how to make a card with butterflies flying! Yes, you can have that effect.

Here is the card:

And a Quick video on How to:

I used the a2 lori whitlock bracket easel card and the butterflies set, you can find the at the Silhouette store. Also, I used Kraft paper for the base of the card, pattern paper that I distressed at the edges with distress ink tea dye. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.

I like the Shabby Chick look and I think that it goes perfect with butterflies!Hope you like it!!! Don't forget to participate in the current Lulupu Challenge #14 Color Crush!!

Before i forget do check out the Lulupu July Share and Win contest. Just upload any creation made with products purchased from Lulupu and get lucky! How simple!

Memory Box + Bonus Inspiration!!

Good morning crafters!! (Although, I am guessing it might already be after noon by the time I am done posting :P)

Nikita here and today, I am going to talk about Memory Box Dies that are available in abundance at the Lulupu Store. They are unique and their designs are so amazing that they easily manage to make the most simplest of projects, awesome with just a die cut added in the mix. And as this month's challenge requires you to add a die cut to your project, I'm hoping it will be helpful. :)

Guest Desginer - Deepti Stephens

Hello everyone,

We are excited to feature another talented crafter - Deepti as a guest Designer at Lulupu. Deepti won our last challenge and stole our hearts with her winning entry!

Hold on! she is sure to get you excited yet again with her lovely creation using Memory Box Dies :)

Hi everyone! Hope you are all good..

When Karuna invited me to guest design at Lulupu, I was really happy, thrilled and exited and I was really exciting to make something for Lulupu Challenge#14..  Thank you so much Karuna and Lulupu Team, for this super duper  opportunity.. J

A little about me……….. Well.. I’m Deepti Stephens, I did my BDS but I felt like there was something missing in my day to day life and I realized that Dentistry is not my thingy I mean It doesn't suit me.. Since our family is full of NGOs and social activists, even my hubby too, I joined their group and started helping the poor and needy.  We are running an orphanage with 39 children, a Society and many more social activities..  Well.. I love to make cards and all other crafty stuff.. Despite my busy schedule I still manage to squeeze time to make cards, film videos and I also work as a DT for 3 challenge blogs and for my very own Catchy Challenges.. J

When Karuna told me about the challenge, I had many plans in my mind but none helped me.. So I went with a very simple sketch. I seldom use die cuts and PPs on my projects.. That’s really challenging and I must admit I had a little confusion while making this card but I love how it turned out J…. The logo colors are really cool but trust me they are not that easy to combine.. That is a great twist too but I enjoyed it thoroughly.. That’s it guys!!

Hope you all liked it, Please do participate in the current Lulupu Challenge #14 Color Crush and have fun.. J

Thank you….

Welcoming Pratiksha and some inspiration!

Hello everyone,

We hope you are enjoying the awesome inspiration by our DT on our latest challenge #14 - Colour Crush - use your dies.

As promised we are here to share our surprise and guess what we have one more talented crafter as a part of the Design Team who whose work is not only pretty but very versatile and creative too! Please give a warm welcome to Pratiksha from - http://pixiedustinspirations.blogspot.in/. Though Pratiksha says she is new to crafting and recently began her blog we were totally amazed with her craft projects and her sense of style. We look forward to her fabulous posts as a Lulupu DT! Over to her.....

Hey everyone

I'm Pratiksha from Hyderabad. I'm married to a wonderful man who has been nothing but supportive ever since i began crafting :) Its his insistence that i do something which i enjoy that has me where i stand today :) My lil 3 year old is my sunshine and best critic who always says "this is beautiful mamma, verrrry pretty! :)"

I started my craft journey a year ago after i took a quilling class. While looking online for new quilling techniques, i happened upon stamping, die cutting and more! There was no looking back for me after that and quilling just didnt seem enough! I started stamping cautiously :) My buying of my BIG SHOT was the final step of the ladder :) I am now hooked to stamping, die cutting and their various techniques and products :)

I love to experiment and try out something new everytime I sit to craft. I usually make mostly cards, mini albums, scrapbooks etc. But would love to make anything crafty! I have had a short journey into blogland with my blog being just 2 months old :)

Here are a few of my creations :)

Very happy to be on the LULUPU-DT which is something i wouldn't have imagined a short year ago. Here's to lulupu and the great new DT. Hope to see some wonderful projects from you all.. :)

Here is my inspiration for the  Challenge#14-Colour Crush

I think it speaks for itself :)

Dont forget to take part in the  challenge#14 and wow us with your fabulous work!
And btw watch out for post on 15th July! We have some something exciting in store!
